With a compact low-profile design offering superior levels of off-road performance during dynamic movement, the Supertech RK-10 Knee Brace has been engineered to provide the highest level of knee support. The RK-10 is ultra-light-weight, ultra-breathable, ultra-comfortable and ultra-protective, and features a free-floating Nucleon Plasma knee protector encased in an innovative asymmetric forged carbon fiber frame construction for the highest levels of rigidity and superior weight saving properties. Developed using feedback from professional MX riders, this 34 layer carbon fiber frame is engineered for the optimal balance of flexibility and rigidity to deliver the highest levels of rider comfort and support while reducing the risk of sustaining injuries to the medial and lateral collateral ligament, the anterior and posterior cruciate ligament, and the lateral and medial meniscus. This frame geometry was meticulously formulated using countless 3-D scans of professional athletes to ensure the optimal internal volume and precise hinge width for maximum comfort during use. The extremities of the upper and lower frames feature an innovative soft and flexible construction with a smooth transition to prevent the hard edges of the carbon fiber frame coming into direct contact with the skin. The replaceable knee cups are constructed with a polyurethane outer shell backed with a Nucleon Plasma protector for the optimum blend of impact protection, flexibility and scratch resistance. The strategically positioned upper and lower patella extensions ensure maximum coverage regardless of the flexion or extension angles. The extremely stable, compact low-profile four-point hinge system perfectly follows the articulation of the knee while the extension stops, which are available in a range from 0 to 30 degrees, assist in setting the brace to the desired maximum opening angle. The replaceable hinge covers transition smoothly from the hinges to the frame, effectively eliminating any steps in the construction to avoid any possibility of material snagging. Nucleon Plasma is a viscoelastic material engineered from bio-based polymers and formed into a structure that is pliable in all directions while maintaining the ability to dissipate impact energies. Lightweight and highly ventilated, the knee protector/cup offers strong impact force dispersion and absorption while ensuring maximum coverage area in all riding positions.
