The FLY RACING FR5 Boots combine protective molded construction, supportive ankle features, and durable materials for demanding riding conditions. A 3D molded plastic shift panel adds grooves and texture to help prevent missed shifts while reducing premature boot wear. The pre-shaped 3D plastic shin provides impact resistance and comfort, while the TPU heel, lateral, medial, and calf pieces deliver broad protective coverage.
Comfort-focused details include soft interior foam around the ankle and collar, a full textile lining, and a padded microfiber gaiter that creates a comfortable rim around the calf while helping seal the boot opening from debris. Biomechanical pivots on the inside and outside of the ankle support stability, and adjustable aluminum quick-lock buckles provide a secure locked-in feel with an open design intended to resist dirt clogging.
The one-piece injected plastic “fish tail” midsole is reinforced with a metal shank. A molded outsole helps reduce weight, while the durable rubber compound provides grip. The rubber heat shield is designed not to melt and provides additional grip. FLY RACING identifies these boots as CE approved to EN13634:2015.
