PUIG Downforce Side Spoilers are developed from aerodynamic experience gained through work with teams including HRC Honda Repsol in MotoGP and the Kawasaki Racing Team in the WSBK World Championship. This technology is adapted for the naked motorcycle segment to support enhanced front-end stability and handling.
Designed to preserve the modern, aggressive appearance of naked motorcycles, the spoilers integrate with the side of the motorcycle without giving the impression of being an external component. The side wings create air channels that add poise to the front wheel during direction changes.
PUIG states that the spoilers provide an additional 3.4 kilograms of downforce on the front end, helping improve motorcycle stability, especially at high speeds, and helping avoid shimmies. The aerodynamic design also helps prevent the front wheel from rising under strong acceleration and provides an anti-wheelie effect.
