The SOLAS SXX-CD-13/16 Impeller is designed by SOLAS, a technology leader in impeller design. It is made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and cast in a one-piece mold. This construction avoids bending the blade edges and supports a precise pitch design.
Impeller pitch influences acceleration and top speed. A smaller pitch can improve acceleration while reducing top speed, whereas increasing pitch can decrease acceleration and increase top speed. A higher-than-stock pitch may be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
SOLAS limited and modified impeller recommendations may be used in either application depending on the desired RPM and speed. A lower-than-stock pitch may be used, when applicable, with a watercraft featuring a re-flashed ECU that increases the rev limiter for higher RPM. Lower pitch may also be used for high-altitude or high-temperature applications where horsepower is lost, or reduced for carrying higher weight to limit the volume of water through the pump.
Features:
- Construction: Made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
- Manufacturing: Cast in a one-piece mold without bending the blade edges.
- Acceleration: Smaller pitches improve acceleration and reduce top speed.
- Top Speed: Increasing pitch decreases acceleration and increases top speed.
- Higher Horsepower: A higher-than-stock pitch can be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
- Application Options: Limited and modified impeller recommendations can be used depending on desired RPM and speed.
- Lower Pitch Applications: Lower-than-stock pitch may be used for applicable re-flashed ECU, high-altitude, high-temperature, or higher-weight applications.
