The SOLAS SXX-CD-14/19 Impeller is made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel. SOLAS casts its impellers in a one-piece mold without bending the blade edges, helping achieve the intended pitch and design characteristics.
Impeller pitch affects watercraft acceleration and top speed. Smaller pitches can improve acceleration while reducing top speed, whereas increased pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed. A higher-than-stock pitch may be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
SOLAS limited and modified impeller recommendations may be used in either application depending on the desired RPM and speed. A lower-than-stock pitch may be used for watercraft with a re-flashed ECU that increases the rev limiter for more RPM, where applicable. Lower pitch options may also be used for high-altitude or high-temperature applications where horsepower is lost, or when carrying higher weight and limiting the volume of water through the pump is desired.
Features:
- Construction: Made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
- Manufacturing: Cast in a one-piece mold without bending the blade edges.
- Pitch effect: Smaller pitch can improve acceleration and reduce top speed.
- Pitch effect: Increasing pitch can decrease acceleration and increase top speed.
- High-horsepower use: Higher-than-stock pitch can be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
- Application flexibility: Limited and modified impeller recommendations can be used depending on desired RPM and speed.
- Lower-pitch applications: May be used where a re-flashed ECU increases the rev limiter, or in high-altitude and high-temperature conditions where applicable.
- Load management: Reduced pitch can be used for higher weight to be carried to limit the volume of water through the pump.
