Boyesen engineers developed the RC2 Series Rad Valve to improve key intake performance factors through aerodynamic surface optimization, model-specific reed petal tensioning, material fuel resistance, and multi-stage reed timing. These design elements work together to support increased overall horsepower and improved throttle response.
Each Boyesen RAD Valve is tailored to the applicable model, year, and displacement. The intake charge is redirected for more even distribution to the intake ports, while constant flow velocity is maintained for responsive throttle operation and additional horsepower potential.
The Boyesen RAD-03A features a one-piece design for easy installation. It is designed for use with the Yamaha YZ250/250X, KTM 65SX, and Kawasaki KX85/100, as stated by Boyesen.
