SOLAS, the technology leader in the impeller design, creates lots of outstanding advantages built into its products. All SOLAS impellers are made of an ultra high strength, corrosion resistant stainless steel, and are cast in a one-piece mold without bending the edges of the blades to achieve the perfect pitch.
The SOLAS 155mm Impeller SR-CD-13/21 is designed by SOLAS, a technology leader in impeller design. It is made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and cast in a one-piece mold. This manufacturing process avoids bending the blade edges and supports a precise pitch profile.
Impeller pitch affects acceleration and top speed. A smaller pitch can improve acceleration while reducing top speed, while an increased pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed. A higher-than-stock pitch may be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
SOLAS limited and modified impeller recommendations may be used in either application depending on the desired RPM and speed. A lower-than-stock pitch may be suitable for watercraft with a re-flashed ECU that increases the rev limiter for higher RPM, where applicable. It may also be used in high-altitude or high-temperature applications where horsepower is reduced, or when carrying additional weight to limit the volume of water moving through the pump.
