The SOLAS Concord 15/20 Impeller is designed with SOLAS’s focus on advanced impeller engineering and performance-oriented pitch selection. It is made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and cast in a one-piece mold. This manufacturing process preserves the blade shape and pitch without bending the blade edges.
Pitch selection influences watercraft acceleration, top speed, and operating performance. A smaller pitch can improve acceleration while reducing top speed, whereas increasing pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed. A higher-than-stock pitch may be suitable for watercraft producing more horsepower than stock.
SOLAS provides additional pitch considerations for specialized applications. Limited and Modified impeller recommendations may be used in either application depending on desired RPM and speed. A lower-than-stock pitch may be appropriate for watercraft with a re-flashed ECU that raises the rev limiter, as well as high-altitude or high-temperature conditions where horsepower is reduced, when applicable. Reduced pitch can also support higher carried weight by limiting the volume of water passing through the pump.
The SOLAS Concord 15/20 Impeller carries part number SRX-CD-15/20 and is intended for users selecting an impeller pitch based on their watercraft’s horsepower, operating conditions, desired RPM, acceleration, and speed requirements.
Features:
- Construction: Made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
- Manufacturing: Cast in a one-piece mold without bending the blade edges to achieve the intended pitch.
- Pitch performance: Smaller pitches improve acceleration and reduce top speed.
- Pitch performance: Increasing pitch decreases acceleration and increases top speed.
- Higher-power applications: A higher-than-stock pitch can be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
- Application flexibility: Limited and Modified impeller recommendations can be used in either application depending on desired RPM and speed.
- Specialized use: A lower-than-stock pitch can be used for applicable watercraft with a re-flashed ECU that increases the rev limiter.
- Operating conditions: A lower-than-stock pitch can be used for applicable high-altitude or high-temperature applications where horsepower is lost.
- Load considerations: Reduced pitch can support higher carried weight by limiting the volume of water through the pump.
