The SOLAS Concord Kawasaki 9/15 Impeller is designed using SOLAS impeller technology to support performance tuning across a range of watercraft applications. SOLAS impellers are made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and cast in a one-piece mold. This construction avoids bending the blade edges and is intended to help achieve a precise pitch.
The 9/15 pitch configuration provides a balance suited to specific acceleration and top-speed requirements. SOLAS states that smaller pitches can improve acceleration while reducing top speed, whereas increasing pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed. A higher-than-stock pitch may be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
Depending on the application and desired RPM and speed, SOLAS limited and modified impeller recommendations may be used. Lower-than-stock pitch options may be appropriate for watercraft with a re-flashed ECU that increases the rev limiter, or for high-altitude and high-temperature conditions where horsepower is reduced, when applicable. Reduced pitch can also support applications carrying higher weight by limiting the volume of water through the pump.
Features:
- Construction: Made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
- Casting: Cast in a one-piece mold without bending the blade edges.
- Pitch: 9/15 configuration for application-specific acceleration and top-speed requirements.
- Performance tuning: Smaller pitch can improve acceleration and reduce top speed, while increased pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed.
- Application guidance: Higher-than-stock pitch may be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
- Adjustment options: Lower-than-stock pitch may be used for applicable re-flashed ECU, high-altitude, high-temperature, or higher-weight applications.
