The SOLAS SR-CD-11/19 impeller is designed with SOLAS engineering expertise for applications requiring carefully selected pitch characteristics. SOLAS impellers are made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and cast in a one-piece mold. This manufacturing approach avoids bending the blade edges and supports consistent pitch throughout the impeller design.
Impeller pitch influences watercraft acceleration and top speed. A smaller pitch can improve acceleration while reducing top speed, whereas increasing pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed. A higher-than-stock pitch may be used on watercraft with more horsepower than stock, while lower-than-stock pitch options may be appropriate for certain applications where additional RPM or available horsepower considerations affect performance.
SOLAS limited and modified impeller recommendations may be used in either application depending on the desired RPM and speed. Reduced pitch may also be selected for higher carried weight to limit the volume of water through the pump. Consult the appropriate application guidance when selecting pitch for re-flashed ECU, high-altitude, or high-temperature conditions.
Features:
- Construction: Made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
- Manufacturing: Cast in a one-piece mold without bending the blade edges.
- Pitch selection: Smaller pitches can improve acceleration and reduce top speed.
- Pitch selection: Increasing pitch can decrease acceleration and increase top speed.
- Higher pitch applications: May be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
- Application guidance: Limited and modified impeller recommendations can be used depending on desired RPM and speed.
- Lower pitch applications: May be used with a re-flashed ECU that increases the rev limiter for more RPM when applicable.
- Operating conditions: Lower pitch may be used for high-altitude or high-temperature applications where horsepower is lost when applicable.
- Carrying weight: Reduced pitch may help limit the volume of water through the pump when carrying higher weight.
